BEILER’S MEAT MARKET · BRAND + DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
Modernizing the digital storefront for a local food business.
Beiler’s already had an established offline business. The challenge was translating that experience online in a way that made the brand clearer, products easier to discover, and the digital presence feel like the business customers already knew.

Brand + website + digital presence
WORK INCLUDED
Wix · Branding · Business Cards · Content · SEO · Ongoing Site Management
01 / BUSINESS CONTEXT
The website needed to work for the business, not just look better.
Beiler’s had an established in-person reputation and customer base. The digital experience needed to support that business instead of becoming a separate, generic version of it.
Customer clarity
Visitors should quickly understand what Beiler’s offers, where to find it, and how to take the next step.
Business continuity
The digital system needs to keep evolving as products, information, and priorities change.
Digital discovery
The website, search presence, and social content should work together instead of operating as separate touchpoints.
02 / WHAT WASN’T WORKING
The existing website got the business online but it didn’t capture who the business was.
The previous site had been created quickly to establish an online presence. It communicated basic information, but there had been little discovery around Beiler’s identity, customers, history, or what made the business different.

The brand wasn’t coming through
The website functioned as a basic online presence, but the personality and character customers experienced in person weren’t visible digitally.
Information lacked a customer journey
Products and business information existed, but the experience wasn’t intentionally structured around what customers were trying to find or do.
Physical and digital touchpoints felt disconnected
Website, business cards, photography, branding, and social content did not yet feel like parts of one cohesive Beiler’s experience.
Before I could redesign the website, I had to understand Beiler’s.
03 / UNDERSTANDING THE BUSINESS
The redesign started with the business, not the interface.
Beiler’s is a family-run Amish market business with an established offline presence. The goal was not to invent a new personality, but to understand what customers already valued and translate that character into a stronger modern digital experience.
BEFORE

What this screen was designed to help the student understand or do.
REDESIGN

What SCAD later created, plus the similarities or differences you notice.
I wasn’t trying to give Beiler’s a new personality. I was trying to make the personality that already existed visible online.
04 / STRUCTURING THE EXPERIENCE
Before redesigning screens, I clarified what customers actually needed to find.
The website structure was organized around customer intent rather than simply mirroring internal business information.

DESIGN PRINCIPLE
Get customers to the information they came for before asking them to explore anything else.
05 / DESIGNING FOR THE BUSINESS
The solution needed to support the customer experience now — and give the business room to evolve.
FOR THE CUSTOMER
Clearer navigation
Find products, location, hours, and essential business information quickly.
Scannable product information
Understand what Beiler’s offers without digging through dense pages.
Consistent experience
Move between website, social, and real-world touchpoints without the brand feeling disconnected.
FOR THE BUSINESS
A system that can evolve
Flexible enough to change as products, information, and business needs change.
A modern way to express who they are
Translate the character of Beiler’s into a digital experience without making it feel generic.
Consistency across touchpoints
Website, business cards, branding, photography, and social content should feel like one business.
Ongoing digital stewardship
Because I continue managing the site, the system supports regular updates, refinements, and growth over time.
06 / EXTENDING THE BRAND
The redesign needed to feel consistent beyond the screen.
The brand system helped connect the website to the physical business through updated visual direction, printed materials, photography, and digital content.

07 / FINAL WEBSITE
A clearer digital storefront built around discovery and trust.
The final website brings the brand, customer journey, and business information into one more cohesive experience.
ADD FINAL DESKTOP WEBSITE SCREEN
Clearer product discovery
Information is grouped around what customers are actually looking for.
Stronger business information
Hours, location, contact, and essential details are easier to reach.
Responsive customer journey
The same priorities carry through desktop and mobile.

08 / BEYOND THE WEBSITE
The website became one part of a larger digital presence.
Discovery does not start and end on a homepage. I treated search, content, and social touchpoints as parts of the same customer experience.
SEO
Page structure, titles, descriptions, and locally relevant content designed to improve discoverability.
Content
Photography and copy that help customers understand the products and business.
Social
Supporting visual and content work that keeps the digital brand consistent beyond the website.
09 / WORKING WITH A REAL CLIENT
Design also meant managing constraints, feedback, and change.
Client work required balancing design recommendations with business priorities, platform limitations, changing content, and ongoing updates. Decisions had to be understandable to the client and sustainable over time.

10 / OUTCOME
A stronger foundation for the business’s digital presence.
